Giving Thanks For T-Day

I had an awful Thanksgiving vacation. Nothing but discord. However, what’s inside of me illuminates even the darkest of days. The future will be fantastic, so I’ve just go to hold on until better days arrive.

I was inspired by a view along the way home… a new painting is on the way. Which could mean… a few days or a few months. I’ve no doubt I’ll have plenty of time to myself in the near future, so probably sooner rather than later.

Holiday shopping is upon us! I went to the art store yesterday and was surprised by the crowd. I usually shop online… and will continue to in the future… but I really needed a new palette – now. Ugh… I hate shopping. It was crowded, hot, & uncomfortable. Parking was a nightmare. I’ll walk next time!

Anyway, I’m planning another trek up north soon. It couldn’t be any colder than it is here! I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with good people. It should be fun!

I’m not usually a cynic.  Seriously.  But this week has me chanting a new mantra — No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.   I just love going the extra mile for people just to get kicked in the proverbial balls.  I don’t really care to get into the details.  Let’s just say that there’s always an extra nice touch to getting run over by someone wearing a “WWJD” T-shirt.  Apparently, they’ll let anyone wear one. (Yes, that’s all quite metaphorical.)

I’ll know better next time… and will simply tell them, “I don’t have a square to spare.”

Anyway, it’s good to be back in my own space.  Back in the zone.  Doors locked.  Music on.  A wall of sound.
