RANT: Assholes

<RANT>

Dear Assholes (you know who you are):

You can all Fuck Off And Die.  I don’t give 2 shits nor a flying fuck what you think about anything I do or don’t do – IT’S NOT FOR YOU.   If your heads weren’t so far up your asses, you’d figure that out.  NOTHING I DO IS FOR YOU, & I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ANYTHING.  So shove your opinions back up your asses & give your heads some company.  If I decide I want anything out of you, I will beat it out of your fucking face with a baseball bat.

DON’T FUCK WITH WICHITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<END RANT>

Hot damn, I feel better…  I really hate assholes.  Could ya tell?  :-D

SHANNON KNOLL: “What About Me”

Posted in Life, Music on April 14, 2008 by Jennifer

“What About Me?” by Shannon Knoll

Well there’s a little boy waiting at the counter of a corner shop
He’s been waiting down there, waiting half the day
They never ever see him from the top
He gets pushed around, knocked to the ground
He gets to his feet and he says

What about me, it isn’t fair
I’ve had enough now i want my share
Can’t you see i wanna live
But you just take more than you give

Well there’s a pretty girl serving at the counter of the corner shop
She’s been waiting back there, waiting for her dreams
Her dreams walk in and out they never stop
Well she’s not too proud to cry out loud
She runs to the street and she screams

So take a step back and see the little people
They may be young but they’re the ones
That make the big people big
So listen, as they whisper
What about me

And now i’m standing on the corner all the world’s gone home
Nobody’s changed, nobody’s been saved
And i’m feeling cold and alone
I guess i’m lucky, i smile a lot
But sometimes i wish for more than i’ve got

Counting Flowers On The Wall

“Counting Flowers on the Wall” by Eric Heatherly

I keep hearing you’re concerned about my happiness.
All that thought you’re giving me is conscience, I guess.
If I were walking in your shoes, I wouldn’t worry none.
While you and your friends are worrying ’bout me, I’m having lots of fun.

Counting flowers on the wall,
That don’t bother me at all.
Playing Solitaire till dawn,
With a deck of fifty-one.
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo.
Now, don’t tell me I’ve nothing to do.

Last night I dressed in tails, pretended I was on the town.
As long as I can dream, it’s hard to slow this swinger down.
So please don’t give a thought to me, I’m really doing fine.
You can always find me here, having quite a time.

Counting flowers on the wall,
That don’t bother me at all.
Playing Solitaire till dawn,
With a deck of fifty-one.
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo.
Now, don’t tell me I’ve nothing to do.

Well, it’s good to see you, I must go, I know I look a fright.
Anyway my eyes are not accustomed to this light.
And my shoes are not accustomed to this hard concrete.
So I must go back to my room and make my day complete.

Counting flowers on the wall,
That don’t bother me at all.
Playing Solitaire till dawn,
With a deck of fifty-one.
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo.

Now, counting flowers on the wall,
That don’t bother me at all.
Playing Solitaire till dawn,
With a deck of fifty-one.
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo.
Now, don’t tell me I’ve nothing to do.

Don’t tell me I’ve nothing to do.

Vancouver

Posted in Life on April 8, 2008 by Jennifer

Vancouver…  Lots of stories to post about the journey through Vancouver.  Everything from getting lost on the way to Capilano Bridge… wandering through Stanley Park in the rain…  the guitar guy I met at the beach…  the young Edmonton fellow I met at a club… the Vancouver native who asked me out at the 7-11 during a ciggie run… the walk along the beach at 2am…  the mountain views.  More on that later!

I want to give a shout out to Jason & Dawn — thanks for taking the time to welcome me to Vancouver!  You guys rock!! :-)

If anyone’s interested, here are a few pix from my trip:
